Best Homemade Ceramal Recipe
Every foodie should have a good, reliable recipe for caramel in cold weather. You should always have a jar of ceramal In your hands, mix into coffee, sprinkle over a thick piece of banana bread or as a syrup for yeast raised waffles caramel sauce makes everything taste comfier and blooming. It’s a combo of sugar, butter, cream and water.
Who would have thought that these ingredients alone would ultimately result in such a delicious caramel that I could drink it pure… Which of course you should not, but you could, you can believe me. The whole process takes about half an hour, but most of the time you can also simmer well, while you are in the kitchen anyway to do something different.

INGREDIENTS FOR HOMEMADE CERAMAL RECIPE
- Sugar 230g
- Water 80ml
- Butter 110g
- Pinch of salt
- Cream 150m
Dissolve 230g sugar with 80ml of water in a saucepan with the cooking spoon and heat slowly. As soon as the sugar is dissolved, add 110g of butter and a pinch of salt, mix it briefly and bring to a boil. Then stir as little as possible so that no lumps form. Now the whole thing has to simmer for a long time at low to medium heat until the mass looks caramel-amber, that is, until the liquid evaporates and looks something “dry” or slightly brittle towards the end be so. In the end, you should occasionally stir up to make sure that nothing really burns.
When the preferred colour is reached, remove the pot from the oven and stir in 150 ml of cream. Now do not despair, it begins to lump all the same as crazy, but this gives itself immediately again. Put the pot back on the stove and simmer for a further 10-15 minutes at low heat until the desired consistency is reached, only occasionally stir. The lumps also dissolve.
The caramel becomes a little harder (but still “spreadable”) as soon as it cools, and can be kept at room temperature for about 2 weeks, in a refrigerator for 2-3 months. Enjoy…!
