Eid Special Lahori Harissa

Originally harissa is a Kashmiri dish made from grains and wheat. If we talk about Lahori harissa then everyone must know and definitely eat Amratsari harissa. It is famous because of its unique flavor.

Today I’m going to share Eid special Lahori harissa with you guys but in addition, I serve it with kabab.


For harissa

  • ¼ cup wheat
  • 1 cup ghee
  • ½ cup rice
  • 1 kg mutton
  • 1 garlic paste
  • 2 sliced onion
  • 1 tbsp chopped ginger
  • ½ cup whole green lentils
  • 1 tsp red chili powder
  • 1 tsp garam masala
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 tsp coriander powder
  • ½ Tsp turmeric powder
  • 2 cups water

For kabab

  • Half kg minced beef
  • 1 tsp roasted coriander seeds
  • 1 tsp roasted cumin seeds
  • 3 tbsp bread crumbs
  • 1 tbsp Coriander leaves
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 chopped onion
  • 1 tsp red chili powder
  • Oil as required
  • Chaat masala ½ Tsp


  • 1) Immerse wheat and rice and boil until spongy
  • 2) Rinse green lentils in warm water
  • 3) In a large cooking pot add meat, ginger garlic, onion, turmeric coriander and chili powder and salt
  • 4) Now add water and bring it boil and cook enough until the meat edible and have some water left
  • 5) Now add green lentils and let it cook until meat is soft in this stage add wheat and rice stir for 25-20 minutes until they combine properly
  • 6) Blend them and add other all spice powder, and stir them for 20-25 minutes until they are combined like haleem
  • 7) Make Tarka with turmeric powder, ghee, and onion and put over harissa
  • 8) In a chopper add all ingredients for kabab except oil and mix them well
  • 9) Now make long kabab length can be of your choice
  • 10) In a pan add oil and let the kabab fry until golden brown color
  • 11) Top harissa with kabab and serve immediately with roti and salad and enjoy…!
